Overview
Join our dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral health care! In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including perio scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Imaging procedures ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and documenting findings accurately in electronic records .
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Support chairside assisting during various procedures by preparing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and managing infection control standards.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards.
Qualifications
Valid state NY licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred.
Proficiency in EMR systems
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient comfort and workflow efficiency.
