Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about oral health, possess strong clinical skills, and excel in patient education. As a Dental Hygienist at Distler Family Dentistry, you will play a vital role in promoting dental hygiene and preventive care while delivering exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities:
Perform dental cleanings and oral examinations to assess patients' oral health
Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
Remove plaque and calculus from teeth and below the gumline
Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants to prevent tooth decay
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized home care instructions
Conduct periodontal assessments and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease
Assist the dentist during dental procedures as needed
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Current state licensure as a Dental Hygienist
CPR certification
Proficiency in digital dental radiography
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Attention to detail and commitment to patient care
Prior experience in a dental office is preferred but not required
