Dental Hygienist

Stellar Smiles Pediatric Dentistry is looking for another Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are a small, tight knit group providing high quality dental care to children from all walks of life. Our goal is to provide a comfortable dental home to children from all walks of life.

Job Description:
Assess oral health of patient
Perform pre-operative and post-operative examinations
Prepare patients for examinations and seal oral hygiene products
Take X-rays
Clean and protect the dental apparatus and give instructions to the patients on how to use the equipment
Clean and maintain the dental office and equipment; keep documentation in accordance with health regulations
Maintain knowledge of dental procedures and techniques; understand patient's history; diagnose diseases; perform simple and complex lab procedures; provide comprehensive treatment in accordance with established guidelines; maintain high quality patient care.

Contribute to team effort by contributing to the success of the practice
Educate patients and their families on oral health needs and provide comprehensive treatment options.

Take vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration) during patient's visit.

Requirements:
Dental Hygiene certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. Licensure may be required depending on state of residence.

Ability to communicate clearly with patients and other staff members, listen attentively, speak clearly, read and write clearly, as applicable.

Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen according to company policy.

Pay: $41.00 - $46.00 per hour
