Dental Hygienist

Position: Dental Hygienist
Hours: 16-38 hours per week
Pay Range: $52 - $58 per hour

Down to Earth Dental is a small, solo dental practice located in Pueblo, CO. We are known for our friendly atmosphere and commitment to providing patients with excellent service. We believe in treating each patient with personalized care and attention, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued during their visit. We love to build relationships with our patients!

Role:
We are looking for a personable, dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team two days per week, 8:45 AM to 5:30 PM. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, including oral assessments, cleaning, and educating patients on maintaining good oral health.

Key Responsibilities:
Conducting oral health assessments including periodontal probing and other evaluations
Removing plaque and calculus through scaling and root planing
Applying preventive materials, such as sealants and fluorides
Performing dental prophylaxis on patients
Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
Assisting with the management of dental and medical emergencies
Maintaining current and accurate patient records and documentation, including health history
Becoming proficient with and utilizing our practice management software (CareStack)
Taking blood pressure
Assisting other staff in completing responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
Current RDH license
Current BLS & X-ray Certifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Ability to work effectively in a close team environment
