What You’ll Do:
Clinical Excellence
Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered hygiene care
Educate patients on prevention, oral-systemic health, and long-term outcomes
Build trust and long-term relationships with patients and families
Maintain high standards of clinical quality, efficiency, and professionalism
Leadership & Team Support
Serve as the lead and mentor for the hygiene team
Help onboard, train, and support new hygienists
Promote consistency in protocols, patient experience, and clinical standards
Act as a liaison between hygiene, assistants, and the doctor
Culture & Systems
Uphold and model the values and mission of Lifestyle Family Dentistry
Contribute ideas to improve patient experience, workflow, and efficiency
Support a positive, calm, and accountable team culture
Participate in team meetings and ongoing growth initiatives
Duties
Perform thorough dental assessments, scaling and root planning, pediatric and adult prophylaxis, and assist Dr. DeFrancisco with examinations to assess oral health.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental wellness visits.

Expose dental radiographs to assist in diagnosis.

Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, providing support with instruments and materials.

Prioritize continuous growth with current best practices in dental hygiene and patient care.

Experience
Associates or Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.

Medical emergency board approved course completed to be able to practice under general supervision without a doctor present.

Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Familiarity with infection control practices is essential.

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
