Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a passion for promoting oral health. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, patient-focused environment with a team committed to providing exceptional dental care. Bilingual skills and experience with pediatric patients are highly valued. The position involves working with modern dental technology and supporting the overall operations of the dental office.
Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Assist in patient examinations by documenting medical histories and vital signs
Support the dental team with procedures such as applying sealants or fluoride treatments
Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental instruments are properly sanitized
Manage patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns in a compassionate manner
Collaborate with orthodontists or pediatric specialists when necessary
Support the overall smooth operation of the dental practice by performing administrative tasks as needed
Experience
Previous experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred
Knowledge of Dentrix or other dental practice management software is advantageous
Experience with orthodontics, pediatrics, or dental assisting is a plus
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient comfort and education
Familiarity with sterilization procedures and infection control standards in a dental environment
This position requires a professional who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to delivering high-quality oral healthcare. Candidates should be licensed or certified as required by state regulations and possess the necessary skills to thrive in a dynamic dental practice environment.
Pay: $38.32-$61.32 per hour
