Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist with patient examinations and recordkeeping using Dentrix or similar dental management software
Support the dentist during procedures, including sterilization of instruments and preparation of treatment rooms
Manage patient appointments, answer questions, and ensure a positive patient experience
Maintain infection control standards and adhere to safety protocols
Provide support in pediatric or orthodontic cases if applicable, ensuring tailored care for diverse patient needs
Skills
Proficiency with Dentrix or other dental practice management software
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations
Experience in dental assisting is advantageous for supporting clinical operations
Strong customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for patients
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Prior dental office experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with daily operations and patient care standards
