We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
Take and evaluate vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status before treatment
Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, documenting treatment plans, patient assessments, and procedural details in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Support pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a friendly atmosphere for young patients and understanding pediatric-specific dental needs
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in your region
Proven experience in general dentistry settings with familiarity in dental terminology and medical coding practices
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred; experience with medical imaging is a plus
Strong knowledge of infection control standards, anatomy, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care and communication skills
Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable; knowledge of pediatric dentistry best practices is a plus
Excellent documentation review skills ensuring accuracy in medical records and treatment documentation
