Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.

Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures using appropriate tools and techniques.

Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and the importance of regular dental visits.

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.

Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.

Manage patient appointments using Dentrix or similar systems to optimize scheduling efficiency.

Provide care tailored to pediatric patients, ensuring a comfortable experience for children.

Experience
Proven knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures is essential.

Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and the ability to recognize oral health issues.

Experience with Dentrix or similar practice management software is preferred.

Understanding of medical records management in compliance with HIPAA standards.

Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
