Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will provide exceptional preventive dental care, patient education, and support to ensure optimal oral health for our diverse patient community. Your expertise in dental hygiene procedures, patient assessment, and infection control will help create a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs measurement and medical history review, to inform treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within Electronic Health Records using Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times.
Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to safeguard patient and staff health.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience working in general dentistry.
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and scheduling.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care.
Familiarity with dental equipment operation, X-ray safety standards, and infection prevention management.
Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
Ability to perform chairside assisting duties including patient care, documentation review, and treatment planning.
