Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, assisting with patient education, and supporting the overall function of the dental team. Wednesday 12-8
Thursday 12-8
Saturday 8-4
Duties
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using modern imaging technology
Conduct oral health assessments and record findings accurately in patient records
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, diet, and lifestyle factors affecting dental health
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments are prepared and sterilised appropriately
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe clinical environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Use CAD software for designing dental restorations or appliances as required
Support the integration of medical imaging techniques to enhance diagnostic accuracy
Skills
Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral structures and dental health
Proficiency in using CAD software for dental design purposes
Experience with medical imaging techniques specific to dentistry, such as digital X-rays or 3D imaging systems
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and patient care documentation
Effective communication skills to educate patients clearly and empathetically
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of current best practices in dental hygiene and preventive care
