Job Description
Registered Dental Hygienist
Our office is currently seeking a Part Time Dental Hygienist to join our very busy family oriented practice for two days a week on Wednesday and Friday. This position is a one year contract, covering a maternity leave, and commences ASAP.
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our dental team!
Responsibilities include:
· Scaling, root planning and coronal polishing of teeth
· Greeting and screening patients as they arrive for appointments
· Periodontal and dental charting
· Patient education and oral hygiene instruction
· Maintaining appropriate and accurate records
· Taking and reviewing patients medical histories
· Taking impressions and simple laboratory procedures
· Taking digital intra-oral, panoramic and cephalometric radiographs
· Applying Pit and Fissure sealants and topical fluoride
· Disinfecting and sterilization of equipment and operatories as per IPAC and Public Health protocols
· Scheduling patient appointments
Candidates must possess and be in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.
