Dental Hygienist

Dental Hygiene duties include, but are not limited to:
Screening patients and updating medical/dental history during visits
Taking X-rays
Periodontal charting
Routine hygiene care
Scaling and root planing
Adjunct periodontal treatments like ozone
Preparing and reviewing the next day’s schedule
Benefits:
Pay: $40 - $50 per hour
Schedule: 3 or 4 days per week
Dedicated assistant to help with hygiene flow
No production tracking with full-hour hygiene appointments
Health/vision insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), and student loan repayments are all negotiable
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification
Proven experience in a dental hygiene practice
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures
Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs and treatment options
Ability to work efficiently and compassionately while maintaining OSHA requirements and patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
Much of our practice’s focus revolves around comprehensive care with special attention paid to TMJ, joint stabilization, and full-mouth rehabilitation. Our beautiful office is located in downtown Traverse City, within walking distance of the bay.
