Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:30am-3:30pm. We are a small fee for service private practice focusing on quality comprehensive dentistry. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices. This role is vital in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients while promoting preventive dental care. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff to deliver high-quality services in a friendly and professional environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and vital signs, to ensure comprehensive care.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures while adhering to established protocols.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing oral health issues.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in pediatric dentistry by providing specialized care for younger patients.
Review documentation to ensure all necessary information is recorded accurately and timely.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans that meet individual patient needs.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficient knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Experience working in a dental clinic setting preferred.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
Ability to maintain a compassionate demeanor while providing patient care.
