Job Summary
We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join a small private practice for 2 days a week. The office is open Monday through Thursday.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits. The role involves performing preventive dental procedures, educating patients on oral health, and collaborating closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral health examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling and polishing to maintain optimal oral hygiene for patients.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture accurate diagnostic images.
Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Collaborate with dentists in treatment planning, including prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols within the dental clinic to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license is preferred
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and disease prevention.
Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with dental medical terminology.
Knowledge of infection control practices and ability to implement them effectively within the practice.
Experience with medical imaging equipment
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team.
