Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient experiences. Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix dental management software
Provide support with orthodontic procedures and pediatric dentistry when necessary
Ensure a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with PIPEDA standards
Address patient questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy
Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Requirements
Valid CDHO licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current credentials
Experience working in a dental office setting, preferably with pediatrics or orthodontic
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including bilingual capabilities are a plus
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety
Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
