Full job description
***$6,000 Signing Bonus + HEALTH INSURANCE***
At Fairbanks Family Dental Care, we believe great hygiene teams are built through collaboration, support, growth, and shared ownership — not isolation.
We are a large, team-oriented group practice in Fairbanks seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist who wants more than simply “clocking in and cleaning teeth.”
Our hygienists play a major leadership role in patient education, co-diagnosis, treatment acceptance, and practice growth. We value your voice, your clinical judgment, and your contribution to improving the health of our community.
This is an excellent opportunity for an RDH who enjoys teamwork, continuous learning, mentorship, and practicing alongside multiple doctors and fellow hygienists in a highly collaborative environment.
Why Hygienists Choose Our Practice
Collaboration Instead of Isolation
Unlike smaller offices where hygienists work independently with minimal support, our large-group practice model creates daily opportunities to collaborate with:
Multiple dentists
Experienced hygienists
Assistants and front office team members
We believe strong communication and calibration lead to better patient care, stronger clinical confidence, and a healthier work environment.
Consistent Growth & Continuing Education
We invest heavily in our hygiene team through:
Weekly team training meetings
Monthly hygiene department calibration meetings
In-office continuing education opportunities
CE support provided by the practice
Cross-training and leadership development
We want our hygienists to continue growing clinically, professionally, and personally.
Team-Based Culture
We work hard, support each other, communicate openly, and genuinely enjoy being together as a team. Our culture is built around:
Connection
Accountability
Leadership
Compassion
Fun & Food
We maintain a positive, respectful, no-gossip environment where team members are encouraged to contribute ideas and solutions.
Responsibilities
Provide preventive and periodontal hygiene services for children and adults
Perform assessments of teeth, periodontal tissues, and oral health conditions
Administer local anesthetic as permitted by Alaska licensure
Educate patients and build value in oral health and treatment
Collaborate with doctors regarding co-diagnosis and treatment planning
Support a productive and positive patient experience
Participate in team meetings, calibration, and ongoing training
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality
Contribute positively to overall office flow and teamwork
Qualifications Required
