Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, and dental charts to inform treatment plans.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced medical imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Follow strict infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control standards aligned with healthcare regulations.
Experience
Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient records efficiently.
Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to review documentation thoroughly and ensure clear patient understanding of treatment plans.
