Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.
Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term health habits.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Support infection control procedures by sterilizing instruments, managing dental supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
Skills
Proficiency in dental software programs such as Eaglesoft for documentation review and appointment scheduling.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures to communicate effectively with team members and patients.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred; familiarity with pediatric patient care enhances the ability to serve young patients effectively.
Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on patient comfort, infection control, and aseptic technique during various dental procedures.
Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical coding, and review of medical records for comprehensive patient assessment.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatrics or general dentistry populations.
