Overview
Cangelosi Fmaily Dentistry, LLC is seeking a friendlly, compassionate, and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our established private practice. We are a sole-practitioner, high-quality dental office committed to providing exceptional care in a welcoming and professional environment. Must maintain a current Louisiana Registered Dental Hygienist license.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately using dental imaging equipment.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status to inform treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene techniques and preventive measures tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable.
Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems with dental software), ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to safeguard patient and staff health.
Administering anesthetic when needed
Manage dental equipment maintenance and sterilization processes to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are met.
