Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Perform patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions
Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort
Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term health
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures
Skills
Proficiency with dental software platforms like Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and scheduling
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with children is highly desirable
Skilled in chairside assisting, including patient positioning, instrument handing, and patient comfort management
Ability to perform vital signs measurement and monitor patient health during appointments
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Knowledge of infection control practices, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques in a dental setting
Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with team members
Previous experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments is preferred
