Job Description
THIS IS FOR A TEMPORARY PART TIME POSITION STARTING JANUARY 2027-MAY 2027 WITH POTENTIAL TO STAY ON PART TIME AND/OR TRANSISTION TO FULL TIME
Part time : Wednesdays and Thursdays, occasional Fridays, 7:45 am - 5:00 pm
Company Overview
Private, doctor-owned dental practice in Glenpool. The office has been established for 30+ years, and owned by Dr. Tyson Roulston for 5+ years.
Role Overview: The Dental Hygienist is a vital clinical partner in our practice, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and promoting long-term oral health. As a key educator and clinician, you will be responsible for performing professional cleanings, comprehensive oral exams, and coordinating with the doctor for seamless clinical delivery. Our ideal candidate is passionate about dental health education and building lasting rapport with patients.
A successful hygienist in our office markets the practice through a clinical approach that is helpful, kind, and considerate. The primary responsibility is meeting patient needs while maintaining clinical excellence and ensuring continuing care compliance.
Main role responsibilities:
Perform thorough dental cleanings (prophylaxis) and periodontal therapy
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and recommended treatments
Accurately document clinical findings and periodontal charting in practice management software
Expose digital dental radiographs and take iTero scans
Maintain and sterilize clinical equipment and dental instruments
Coordinate with the administrative and clinical team for seamless patient handoffs
Qualifications and Skills
Current State Dental Hygiene License
Strong verbal communication skills for patient education
Excellent verbal skills with patients and staff
Self directed
Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to a positive culture
