A Complete Health focused family dental practice in Shelby Township, is looking for an outgoing, team first individual with excellent communication skills who’s positive attitude knows no bounds to join our Dental Hygiene Team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to oral health, including patient assessments, cleanings, and education on proper dental hygiene practices. A strong understanding of dental procedures and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations are essential..

All candidates must have a current, valid Dental Hygiene license in the State of Michigan. Local anesthesia certification and laser certification a plus.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Review medical records and document patient histories accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the management of patient records using Eaglesoft or similar systems.
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the dental clinic.
Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings.
Perform documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient information.
Maintain an organized and efficient dental office environment.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical records management and documentation practices is essential.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software systems is a plus.
Proficiency in aseptic techniques and understanding of general dentistry practices are required.
Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
