Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team, offering a generous sign-on bonus to attract top talent. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, supporting dental treatments, and ensuring a positive patient experience within a professional and welcoming environment.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, adhering to infection control protocols.
Assess patients’ oral health status by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and conducting oral examinations.
Assist with dental procedures by providing chairside support using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Capture and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining proper documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality.
Maintain sterile environments through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of dental instruments.
Collaborate with the dental team to review medical records, update documentation, and support overall practice operations.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist with proficiency in Eaglesoft or Dentrix EMR systems preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding standards.
Experience working in general dentistry settings with exposure to pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and providing care for children is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments accurately and deliver exceptional patient care.
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and vital signs monitoring within a dental context.
Prior experience in dental office or clinic environments that emphasizes infection control, documentation review, and medical records management is essential.
