Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Hygienist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dental care and patient education. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring thorough removal of plaque and tartar.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
Conduct patient assessments by measuring vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and evaluating oral health status.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
Assist dentists during various procedures by managing dental instruments, maintaining a sterile environment through infection prevention techniques, and ensuring smooth workflow with four-handed dentistry.
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix), documenting treatment details, medical records, and patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage infection control protocols by sterilizing dental equipment, practicing aseptic techniques, and ensuring the clinic meets all healthcare infection prevention standards.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Familiarity with digital imaging technology and electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix).
Hands-on experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for working with children is highly valued.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and patient education.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks efficiently while providing compassionate patient care.
