Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a passion for promoting oral health. In this role, you will perform dental cleanings, patient education, and assist in maintaining a smooth and efficient dental practice.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with professionalism and precision.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software.
Manage sterilization of dental instruments and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry and orthodontic cases as needed.
Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state or regional regulations.
Prior experience working in a dental office setting, with proficiency in dental assisting procedures preferred.
Knowledge of Dentrix or other dental practice management software.
Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
Excellent communication skills combined with strong customer service orientation.
Experience working with pediatric patients and understanding of pediatric dental care principles is a plus.
