Job Description
Position: Dental Hygienist
Location: Hamilton, Alabama

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team at Cox Dental
Group. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent oral healthcare services to our patients. This position offers competitive pay, a Monday through Thursday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and 401K.
Responsibilities :
1 . Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments, including reviewing medical history and taking necessary X-rays.
2 . Conduct thorough oral prophylaxis, including removing plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth.
3 . Administer local anesthesia and apply dental sealants, as required.
4 . Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
5 . Conduct oral cancer screenings and provide appropriate referrals, if necessary.
6 . Perform periodontal charting and provide non-surgical periodontal therapy.
7 . Collaborate with the dentist to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
8 . Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress n otes.
9 . Assist the dentist during dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and crown p lacements.
1 0. Sterilize dental instruments and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
1 1. Educate patients on post-operative care and provide appropriate instructions.
1 2. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and t echnologies.
Q ualifications:
1. Valid Dental Hygiene license in Alabama and certification from an accredited dental hygiene program.
2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
3. Excellent knowledge of oral health and hygiene practices.
4. Proficiency in using dental software and technology for record-keeping.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with dentists and other staff members.
7. Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity.
8. Dedication to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a comfortable dental experience.
