Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and terminology. This role involves providing high-quality dental hygiene services to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote optimal oral health and educate patients on proper dental care practices.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing oral health issues.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Experience
Candidates should possess:
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
Strong skills in patient care, assessment, and documentation review.
