Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and have a strong commitment to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in educating patients about dental hygiene practices and ensuring their comfort during visits.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix or similar dental software.
Assist with periodontal therapy and provide support for orthodontic treatments when necessary.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient concerns and inquiries effectively.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, particularly in pediatrics or orthodontics.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is advantageous.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental management software is a plus.
