Dental Hygienist

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The initial position is a maternity leave position where the current employee works Tues-Fri 8-5. An ideal candidate would replace most or all of these hours but there is some flexibility available for hours/days worked if needed. A minimum of two days per week is needed.

Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs
Support the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality care delivery
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing
Previous experience in a dental office setting preferred; experience with Tracker is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
