Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental hygiene practices, with a passion for providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control protocols. Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque and calculus, and applying preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants.
Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment planning.
Take X-rays accurately
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs.
Maintain accurate electronic health records
Follow strict infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental instruments.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans for diverse patient populations, including pediatric dentistry cases.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current registration credentials.
Radiology certification.
CPR certification.
OSHA certification.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation.
Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is advantageous but not required.
