Dental Hygienist

Ideal Dentistry of Norton Shores is looking for a hygienist to join our growing practice on Tuesdays! We are a privately owned office with a fun atmosphere that values personal relationships, work ethic, and teamwork. As our hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high quality dental services to our patients. Your exceptional care, organization, and compassion will contribute to the health of our patients and enhance their dental experience.

Responsibilities:

- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care

- Take dental x-rays and perform other diagnostic tests as needed

- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including dental cleanings, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatment, and sealants

- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide to patients as directed by the dentist

- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes

- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques

- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and workflow efficiency

- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients
Qualifications:

- Current Dental Hygiene License

- Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide specialty certifications (preferred)
