Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Take and review medical histories, including vital signs and patient assessments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the management of medical records and documentation review.
Utilize knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology during patient interactions.
Provide support in periodontal dental care, ensuring a comfortable experience.
Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and patient assessment techniques.
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental hygiene practices.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Experience working with periodontal patients is a plus, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and team members alike.
