Dental Hygienist

Tomasheski Family Dentistry is a family-owned, non-corporate dental practice focused on providing exceptional patient care and building lasting relationships within our community. We opened in June 2024 and are excited to continue growing!

We are seeking a part-time dental hygienist to join our dental team and help us provide high-quality care to our patients. The schedule will consist of a single column of patients, allowing you to focus on delivering personalized care.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, compassionate, positive, energetic, eager to learn, and a true team player. This position is 1–2 days per week, with flexibility in scheduling and choice of days.

Responsibilities of the Hygienist
In this highly valued role, you will:
· Routine prophylaxis
· Scaling and Root Planing
· Periodontal Maintenance
· Periodontal charting
· Fluoride application
· Sealant application
· Chart existing and proposed treatment
· Ensure our patients are comfortable and prepared for treatment
· Keeping accurate records and notes
· Take digital x-rays
· Take intraoral photos
· Sterilize instruments
· Educate patients on their oral health needs
· Perform some administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records
· Keep workspace and office clean and well-stocked
· Promote a positive patient experience
· Foster an upbeat team environment
Qualifications of the Dental Hygienist
· Valid Registered Dental Hygienist dental license from accredited dental hygiene school
· Experience preferred
· Current x-ray certification (required)
· Current CPR certification (required)
· Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
· Understanding of health and safety regulations
· Excellent communication and people skills
· Attention to detail, well-organized, reliable
