Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. Our practice is well-established and we are looking for a motivated professional to be part of our team.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and risk factors.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, sealants, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health.
Assist dentists, as needed, in order to ensure a smooth workflow.
Document patient treatments accurately in the EHR and maintain patient records.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize proper infection control, aseptic techniques, and sterile working environment.
Maintain an active dental hygiene license and fulfill all continuing education requirements as mandated by the dental hygiene board.
Qualifications
Valid Hawaii state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist (or ability to obtain a valid license by start date).
Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program or college.
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong attention to detail with strong clinical and patient-care skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting $52.00-$60.00 per hour (depending on level of experience)
Expected hours: 40 hours maximum per week
