Job Description
Dental Hygienist - Join Our Friendly and Collaborative Team!
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to help us provide exceptional care and promote oral health to our patients. Our office is known for its friendly and easy-going atmosphere, where teamwork is a priority. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure patients feel at ease and comfortable before and during their examination.
Properly sterilize and prepare dental instruments for use.
Conduct initial mouth screenings and review patient oral health history.
Identify oral conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis.
Clean and protect patients' teeth by removing plaque and applying fluoride.
Educate patients of all ages on proper dental care, including brushing and flossing techniques.
Provide post-treatment care instructions following dental procedures.
Take X-rays and dental impressions as needed.
Collaborate with the dentist to select appropriate treatments for various dental conditions, including oral cancer.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts and documentation.
Monitor and replenish office supplies as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (including HIPAA) in the dental field.
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and patient demeanor.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Current and valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
