Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while performing essential hygiene procedures. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dentist and other team members to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical records and taking vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate instruments and techniques.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques.
Assist in the management of medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Utilize dental software systems such as Softdent for patient management and record keeping.
Collaborate with the dental team in providing pediatric care and addressing specific needs of younger patients.
Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to ensure patient safety and infection control.
Perform medical imaging as required, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in using dental software systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing patient records and appointments.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
