Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions to tailor personalized care plans.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside support, including handing instruments and managing dental equipment efficiently.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding of dental health.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems utilizing Curve, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Follow infection prevention protocols by practicing aseptic techniques and managing infection control measures diligently to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license with current state certification and registration.
Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings.
Proficiency in using Curve for documentation review and medical coding.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation.
Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their dental care needs.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including HIPAA compliance management.
