Job Description
Breeze Dental is growing, and we're bringing our third Austin location to life.
We're a privately owned, multi-location practice (not a DSO), and we're doing dentistry differently. At Breeze, we treat oral health as a window to whole-body health. That means we're not just cleaning teeth. We're educating patients, catching what others miss, and building long-term relationships rooted in trust. It's a higher standard, and our hygiene team leads the way.
We're looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist who is:
Clinically excellent, comfortable with SRP, perio maintenance, GBT Airflow, laser-assisted hygiene, and iTero technology.
A communicator, not just a clinician. Someone who can connect a perio finding to a patient's overall health.
Genuinely collaborative. You'll work closely with the clinical team, and your assessments shape treatment conversations.
Preventive at heart. You believe the best dental appointment is the one that makes the next one easier.
What you'll work with:
GBT Airflow or cavitron, iTero scanners, laser technology, and a team that actually knows how to use them. We invest in tools that make your job better and your care more effective.
What we offer:
Competitive hourly pay that reflects your skill and experience. Health and vision insurance with employer contribution. 401(k) with employer match. Flexible scheduling and real work-life balance. CE allowance aligned with our whole-health philosophy. Monthly wellness and gym reimbursement. A culture that's supportive, not just on paper.
This is not a production-first practice. It's a place where doing right by the patient is always the right call, and where the hygienist is valued as a cornerstone of the care team, not an afterthought. And when you do those things, everything else falls into place.
If that sounds like the practice you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you. Submit your resume and a brief note about why Breeze feels like the right fit. We read everyone.
Compensation:
$55 - $60 hourly
Responsibilities:
Complete x-rays of the patients’ teeth so the dentist can quickly identify any tooth decay or other oral health issues
Examine patients’ dental health and get an overview of their oral health history
Create dental impressions of patients’ teeth so veneers, mouthguards, etc. can be made correctly
Disinfect all dental instruments to ensure cross-contamination does not occur
Advise patients on how to properly care for their teeth after a procedure or operation
Perform child/adult prophylaxis, SRP, and periodontal maintenance appointments with thoroughness and care
Complete comprehensive periodontal charting and accurate clinical documentation
Take, expose, and interpret dental radiographs
Apply fluoride varnish and sealants as indicated (alternative options available for fluoride-free clientele
Use GBT Airflow, Cavitron, laser technology, and iTero scanners as part of routine care
Conduct saliva testing and bristle wear analysis to assess patient risk and guide care recommendations
Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices, including tongue scraping, electric toothbrush selection, and pH-balancing nutrition
Connect oral findings to whole-body health and coach patients on lifestyle factors that support long-term oral wellness
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure findings are communicated, and treatment conversations are supported
Participate in daily huddles and contribute to a well-coordinated schedule
Qualifications:
Licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in the state
In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations
Superb customer service and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree or master's degree in registered dental hygiene program preferred, associate’s degree required
Capable of standing all day to assist patients
Active Texas RDH license
Minimum 2 years of clinical hygiene experience
Laser certification
Nitrous oxide certification
Strong periodontal and recare clinical skills
A genuine interest in whole-body health and patient education, not just the appointment
The ability to work efficiently without rushing patients
A collaborative, team-first mindset
