Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately in patient records.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as needed.
Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques during procedures.
Collaborate with dentists in providing comprehensive care, including assisting during procedures when required.
Stay updated with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Skills
Proficient in medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and general dentistry practices.
Experience with documentation review to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Familiarity with Oryx software for patient management and record keeping is a plus.
Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles for treating younger patients effectively.
Strong communication skills to educate patients about their oral health needs.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced environment.
