Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. We offer comprehensive dental care with attention paid to the patient experience. We operate as a team, but we're small and feel more like a family. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral health and assisting in various dental procedures.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Document patient histories and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist with medical imaging procedures as needed, including X-rays.
Collaborate with dentists to provide exceptional patient care in general dentistry.
Conduct documentation reviews to ensure compliance with dental regulations and standards.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology, dental coding, and systems such as Dentrixis advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
