We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our private practice dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring the highest standards of oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with dentists and patients, utilizing your expertise to promote good dental hygiene practices and assist in preventive care.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Conduct patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture high-quality radiographs.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the development of treatment plans alongside the dental team.
Apply knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to enhance patient care.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care in general dentistry.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Certification to administer local anesthesia and nitorus oxide
Excellent customer service skills
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
