Overview
We are a growing, patient-focused dental practice seeking a friendly and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on a part-time basis. We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, enjoys building long-term relationships, and takes pride in educating patients about their oral health.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing.
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment planning.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health.
Maintain strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
Document all procedures accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft, including medical coding and documentation review.
Qualifications
Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred
Proficiency with Eaglesoft
Reliable transportation and ability to commute to our office
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
