Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to develop personalized treatment plans
Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental equipment is properly sanitized
Keep detailed records of patient treatments using dental management software such as Dentrix
Support pediatric patients and communicate effectively with bilingual patients to ensure understanding of procedures and care instructions
Skills
Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental management software
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
Experience in dental assisting is a plus, providing flexibility in clinical support roles
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to safety protocols
Pay: $38.62-$61.60 per hour
