Job Overview
Advance Dental Clinic is looking for a motivated and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our growing team!
We are a modern, advanced dental clinic offering a professional, comfortable, and friendly environment where our team members are truly valued.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient.
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental examinations to inform treatment plans.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Capture and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene techniques and preventive measures tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR/EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.
Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or documentation review, and medical records management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices.
Familiarity with dental equipment operation, dental x-ray procedures, and healthcare infection prevention standards.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Previous experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments is highly desirable.
