Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment to ensure optimal oral health for our patients.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and performing medical imaging as needed.
Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in collaboration with the dentist.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care to promote overall health.
Utilize EMR systems effectively to document patient interactions and treatment plans.
Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Stay updated on dental terminology and advancements in general dentistry practices.
Experience
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in four-handed dentistry being a plus.
Knowledge of Eaglesoft software is advantageous for efficient practice management.
Proficiency in medical coding and understanding of medical terminology will enhance patient care delivery.
Strong anatomy knowledge is essential for effective patient assessment and treatment planning.
