Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice on a part time basis, ideally Tuesday and Wednesday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Assess and document patient medical histories and current oral health status.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the management of patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry as needed.
Skills
Proficient knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Familiarity with dental office operations and patient care protocols.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical records management.
Knowledge of infection control procedures to ensure patient safety.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
Understanding of medical terminology related to dental health.
Local Anesthesia license required
