Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise in oral health care will make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives! In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, promote preventive care, and support overall patient well-being. Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and evaluating oral health status.
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Capture and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with a focus on pediatric patients preferred.
Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures.
Ability to perform dental assisting tasks including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and managing medical records efficiently.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
