Job Description
Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for, informed, and confident in their smile. This paid position offers opportunities for professional growth and meaningful patient interactions in a fast-paced, friendly setting. Currently looking for full time 8am to 5pm Monday and Tuesday. 7am to 4pm Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment plans
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies tailored to their need
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment notes, and medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations
Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with general dentistry practices
Proficiency with dental terminology
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix for efficient record keeping
Strong knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and anatomy
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward all patients and diverse populations
