We are a small, women owned and women run, peaceful and caring practice. We focus on holistic, functional dentistry - periodontal health is an important cornerstone of our practice.
The office works efficiently at full speed with only one dentist at the helm and an amazing team to keep things running smoothly. We love coming to work because of the environment we create for one another. The dentist needs HELP! of another gentle and thoughtful practitioner! The burn out is real!
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team part time, with a choice of starting any one day a week Mon-Thursday and happy to grow from there! In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional preventive and active periodontal care, assist in patient education, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help us maintain our commitment to healthy smiles and outstanding patient experiences.
Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing with Brand New stand alone air polishers.
Conduct thorough periodontal assessments and Maintain accurate medical documentation using Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal dental health
Assistants for hygiene available!
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or office setting
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient records
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation standards
Familiarity with general dentistry procedures, including endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations in English and Russian or Spanish is a plus
Certification as a licensed Dental Hygienist in accordance with new York state regulations
